Antelope Island Sunset II
Hanging out on Antelope Island in Salt Lake City, Utah has become one of my fav places. Not very pleasant on the nose at times, but offers some stunning scenery and wildlife. Buffalo and Antelope roam the island. I was on the west side of the island for this shot. The sun had been going in and out of the clouds. I set up, waited for this moment and grabbed this shot. Love the colors and feeling of the photo! This one has been featured on abc4utah and Pictureline!

Antelope Island at Sunset. Beautiful light this evening and had to capture it! The family was waiting in the car to see the buffalo up ahead, but had to get out and get this shot!

Antelope island from the Causeway! It was beautiful light this evening and this scene made me feel fantasy like. As if Dragons and Fairies live on the island.

Wrath!
We were driving through central Utah to visit Goblin Valley and came across this sudden storm! It seemingly came out of nowhere! You can still see the clear skies behind it! It's such a surreal scene it's hard to believe it's a photograph! I had a hard time putting this up as it looks so cartoonish! I of course added a bit of saturation for drama!

Strawberry Sunset
After a full day of photography and cloudy skies. I was presented with a 1 minute window for a sunset over the docks just outside of Wild Strawberry Lodge. Hence the name of this piece. Strawberry Sunset.

In the Pale Blue
I was wandering down the coast of Sitka, Alaska on a foggy day enjoying the sites. Such a beautiful place and the fog just added to the mood. Coming around a bend on the road this channel caught my eye. It's quickly become one of my favorites with the mood and colors it evokes.

Lake Bountiful Sunset -Rays of light
Sometimes beauty can be right in your backyard. I decided to take a different route to my usual and found this place. About 10 minutes from my home I was presented with this awesome sunset. Utah has some amazing sunsets! The colors in this one are just wild!

Twin Lakes - Cottonwood Canyon, Utah
The hike to Twin Lakes in cotton wood canyon from the silver lake parking lot is not a long one. It can be fairly steep in some areas and does have quite the altitude gain in such a short distance but it is a rewarding hike. The lake still had some ice covering it and some submerged as shown in the photo! Definitely a fun hike and beautiful area!

Monumental Sunset
The sun was setting quickly and a storm had just run through. I was on my way back from Phoenix to Monument Valley for a sunset. On the way I was getting bummed I might not see a sunset when I arrived. To my surprise, the storm pushed through and the skies opened to this awesome site!

Dramatic Skies
An awesome display of diffused light as I was heading to Monument Valley. A storm had raged through and was subsiding. As it subsided diffused light would shine through in patches illumunating the amazing cloud structure and red monuments!

Monolithic Pillar
I was on my to Monument Valley from Phoenix. As I approached I noticed a pillar slowly rising in the distance which would catch an awesome ray of diffused light as the clouds would part briefly from the storm that had been raging.

Etheral Spine - Point Lobos
A trip to Point Lobos along the Big Sur coastline was a great destination on this evening. The tide was out and had exposed this awesome rock formation. Getting a bit lower on the tripod with angle and setting up a 10 stop ND filter I managed to capture this amazing image!
